Running Asteris for WordPress Free and a paid Asteris licence together

Running Asteris Free and a paid Asteris licence together

Asteris for WordPress Free and a paid tier (Starter, Pro, or Agency) run together on the same WordPress install. You don’t uninstall the free version to install a paid tier.

How it works

Asteris for WordPress is one plugin file. The licence key activates additional modules within the same plugin.

When you purchase a paid tier:

  1. Download the updated plugin from your customer portal (it’s the same plugin with the paid module code included)
  2. Upload and activate, or let the in-place updater handle the swap if you already have the right version
  3. Enter your licence key in Asteris → Licence
  4. The 5 paid-only modules and full versions of the 5 lite modules appear in your module list immediately

What happens if the paid licence lapses

If your subscription isn’t renewed:

  • The 5 paid-only modules deactivate
  • The full versions of the 5 lite modules revert to lite
  • Code Snippets (free at full functionality) keeps working
  • All settings and data are preserved in the database
  • Resubscribing restores everything

Resubscribing after a lapse re-enters you at the then-current regular price. Founder-cohort locked pricing is conditional on continuous subscription.
